Halloween 2019: Top 5 Spooky Corporate Event Destinations

Happy Halloween!

For those of you who are unaware of this worldwide-celebrated day, Halloween is an extravagent holiday consisting of sweet treats, fancy dress, and scary movies... what's not to love?

Even more exciting for those thinking of organising an event around this time of year is the ways in which you can take advantage of the scary season, and give your delegates a friendly fright!

Check out some of these corporate event destinations that'll VAMP (you get it?) up your event and get attendees in the spooky spirit:

1. London

The UK definitely isn’t short of hellraising places, with the capital city itself being home to a particularly creepy landmark, the Tower of London – which also has multiple event spaces to hire. Along with London’s eerie backstreets, ancient buildings and infamous characters such and Guy Fawkes and Jack the Ripper, the landmark is just a cherry on the top of an ideal Halloween-worthy event destination.

2. Boston

Boston is a major US city with a wide range of accommodation and corporate venue options, as well as an international airport, making it fantastically located for conference and meeting events. I know what you’re thinking. There’s nothing scary about that!

Well, situated just a short drive away from Boston is Salem, a city famous for its 17th century witch trials, where several locals were accused of witchcraft , and executed for said crimes. Despite the trials taking place in 1692, over 300 years ago, some of the integral monuments remain. These include the Witch House – a former home of a trial judge, and the Salem Witch Trials Memorial.

3. Scotland

Up in Scotland, the legend of the Loch Ness monster haunts the freshwater loch of the same name. However, if you’re not quite ready to take on Nessie – Scotland definitely isn’t short of stunning freshwater lochs that give off a misty and spooky vibe, whilst having ample venues and event spaces nearby. The luxurious Cameron House sits on Loch Lomond – offering corporate meeting spaces as well as lavish accommodation.

4. Paris

The ‘city of love’ is a vast event destination that is widely accessible, offers ample accommodation and venue options, and is for many a ‘bucket-list’ destination.

However, what a lot of visitors may not know of is ‘underground Paris,’ which is a maze of skeleton-filled catacombs that can be explored along with the 700-year old sewers. Guided tours are available, and for larger groups, could be a chilling additional corporate team building activity of an event in the French capital.

5. Las Vegas

Known for its vibrant culture and infamous ‘strip,’ Las Vegas is located in the state of Nevada and is one of the top 10 most visited cities in the US.

Located just three hours’ drive away from the city is Area 51, which has become subject to UFO folklore and conspiracy theories due to the secrecy surrounding the area. Obviously, the area itself isn’t accessible, however day incentive trips from Las Vegas can be organised to explore the ‘extra-terrestrial highway’ and the small town of Rachel.
