Our client holds a bi-annual overseas conference for 450 delegates. They requested a ‘business’ location, rather than a beach destination, to fit in with the nature of the event. To accommodate the group size, they also required somewhere offering ample accommodation and venue facilities, and a location that was easily accessible from a range of cities across the UK. The location also needed to provide evening entertainment, where guests could enjoy their free time and networking opportunities.
We decided on Budapest as a location as it is a destination filled with both historical value and fantastic facilities. As an in-land capital city, it provided our clients with the ‘business’ location required, whilst also offering a rich culture and stunning architectural surroundings. The trip began with a welcome dinner cruise before two days of conference sessions, and leisurely excursions included a day of golf and a spectacular gala dinner on the final night.
The entire event was a roaring success, with delegates impressed by the delivery of topical content during the day at the conference, as well as the inclusion of additional entertainment during the evenings. Delegates particularly enjoyed the gala dinner, which on top of providing a night of flawless entertainment, also offered ample opportunities to network.
