Fam trip series: Liverpool 

One of our favourite UK destinations, Liverpool, is a fantastic destination for corporate conference events in particular.

In the past, we’ve worked alongside destination-based suppliers to deliver events including a two-day business event made up of a conference, exhibition and gala and awards dinner.

Account Executive, Max, was lucky enough to visit this amazing destination and get the lowdown on the exciting new venues, activities, and accommodation that the city has to offer.

“I’ve not yet worked on one of our Liverpool events, so being able to scope out the city before an event later this year was really valuable. It both gave me the chance to take a look around the renowned ACC Liverpool – where we’ll be delivering the event, and check out what Liverpool had to offer to an interesting event itinerary.”

The ACC was the first purpose-built interconnected arena, conference and exhibition centre in Europe, which unsurprisingly has made it a top venue choice for businesses looking to deliver successful events requiring a variety of venue spaces.

Equally as impressive as the event venues on offer are the activities that can work fantastically for networking, teambuilding, and even for delegates to enjoy at their leisure between conference sessions.

“I love Liverpool as a city. There’s so much to do, and so many activities that would work perfectly for groups to break up conference sessions, and make exciting itinerary additions. During the FAM trip, we attended a ‘Magic of Motown’ event at the M&S Bank Arena, made our own (very strong) gin at Liverpool Gin Distillery, and of course, visited the British Music Experience.”

Liverpool, being a coastal city, also boasts the Royal Albert Dock – which is home to more Grade I listed buildings than anywhere else in the UK, making the city’s World Heritage status completely deserved.

“Our accommodation for the duration of the trip was the pullman hotel, which is located next to the Royal Albert Dock. It was great to experience the hotel as a delegate, as this is one of the top hotel choices amongst event attendees when we deliver events here.”
