A multinational aerospace and defence company approached First Event at the start of 2021 to help shift their existing in-person executive meet-ups in the office to virtual ones.
They wanted to simulate as much as possible the feeling of offline meet-ups, where the participants could interact with each other in an engaging way.
First Event created a virtual meet up space where attendees could be seated in a room with up to nine named tables, customised as per the client’s needs including branding and headshots.
Facilitators were able to move freely between the tables, joining various conversations happening in the room.
Each table had controls to allow participants to video chat with each other, screen share, and send messages. This was more intimate than all participants being on one big call.
First Event was present throughout the event to provide technical help if needed.
The client plans to continue to use First Event’s meet up platform for its monthly virtual coffee mornings and roll it out to different stakeholders within the company.
They particularly liked the benefits of First Event’s platform being more visual than Microsoft Teams or Zoom and the ability to do a pre-event set up as per their requirements.
