EVENT: VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
INDUSTRY: PUBLIC POLICY
NO. OF DELEGATES: 1,200
A public policy company who hold a conference every year wanted to move their scheduled 2020 conference to an online event due to the COVID-19 crisis.
They recognised that in order to still be able to bring their community together to celebrate, educate and to champion common goals and visions without having to wait another year, they needed to adapt and find a ways to still engage with delegates.
First Event created a bespoke event website that hosted an interactive live stream for the virtual conference, a studio was also set up with bespoke backdrops to film live and pre-recorded content.
Our client wanted the conference to include various interactive functions to keep the delegates engaged, therefore we included live Q&As, polls and a chat function within the live stream.
The virtual stream also included presentations and a video with a total of six sessions per day over the three day event. The video and the stream became available to watch on-demand for people to view after the event had ended and made available for delegates to view for 12months.
The client had a positive response/feedback from the delegates and the different methods we used to increase interactivity during the event.
The on demand content was also a popular feature both during and after the event, as many delegates found it easy to navigate back into the site at a time that suited them. Due to the positive result and fast turnaround success, the client has asked us to work with them on future virtual events.
