EVENT: 5 DAY VIRTUAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

A healthcare organisation approached First Event in August 2020 to help plan and manage a virtual summit on ‘Leading for Inclusion’ in October.
The client’s main objectives for the five day event were to inform leadership thinking, practice, and (most crucially) to make progress on the work of inclusive leadership development for individuals, organisations and the systems working within health and care.
Our client wanted to create an event that was live and engaging over the five day structure but was also available on demand for staff that were unable to attend due to the pandemic.
First Event created a bespoke website for the event that enabled delegates to register, view the content live and that was accessible at all times for registered attendee’s to view on demand.
The bespoke website hosted back-to-back sessions each day from 9.30-3.30pm that covered topics to raise the level of ambition on inclusion, quicken the pace of change towards inclusion and ensure that leadership is equipped to achieve and leave an ever increasing and sustainable legacy of inclusion.
To ensure delegates felt engaged, First Event worked with the client to include interactive elements such as chat boxes, and two way communication opportunities such as a ‘coffee and conversation’ breakouts at the end of each day. Question and answer sessions were also included to enable delegates to ask speakers direct questions about any of the topics covered.
Over the five days a total of 450 delegates attended.
