Event objectives:
In March we had the pleasure of organising and accompanying 18 VIP guests on an incredible journey across the west coast of the USA. The main objective of the event was to allow the client to give a huge thank you to their own clients for their business and recognition to the top sellers.
Event overview:
On one of the most iconic trips in the world, the guests were made to feel like stars! From San Francisco to Monterey, Santa Barbara to the bright lights of Hollywood – taking in all the best sights that California has to offer. Let’s hit the road and explore this unbelievable six day adventure!
Rescheduled from 2020, First Event we made it worth the wait! Keeping the communication alive throughout the run-up to the event, with impeccably designed itinerary packs and personalised gifts for the trip, we truly went above and beyond to boost excitement and give every guest the trip of a lifetime!
Day of arrival
We all checked into the grand Zelos Hotel in San Francisco late afternoon, after safely landing in the city by the bay. The hotel was located in San Francisco’s most influential SoMa District neighbourhood within the historic Pacific Building. After a quick freshening up we all travelled on cable cars to a lovely little Italian restaurant named Del Popolo for dinner.
Day two
To start the day right, we had breakfast in the hotel restaurant ‘Dirty Habit’. To fuel a busy day exploring the famous or sometimes infamous parts of San Francisco. We started off with a private buggy city tour, before arriving at Alcatraz! Luckily all of the guests escaped to enjoy an evening at leisure.
Day three
Was the start of our road trip, making the journey from San Francisco to Monterey. We packed our cars full of drinks and snacks and prepared for the breathtaking views. We stopped off at Half Moon Bay & Dunes Beach, Pigeon Point Lighthouse and Santa Cruz on the way. Once arriving in Monterey we checked into The Spindrift Inn, situated on Cannery Row. And topped it all off with dinner at the stunning Lalla Oceanside Grill.
Day four
We set off on the second leg, cruising down one of the world’s most unforgettable stretches of coastline from Monterey to Santa Barbara. Stopping at Big Sur, Nepenthe and Cafe Kevah, Mcway falls, Morro Rock, Madonna Inn – Copper Cafe on the route. In Santa Barbara we stayed in the Eagle Inn and went wine tasting at Pali Wine Company.
Day five
Was the final part of the journey, from Santa Barbra to Hollywood, visiting Oxnard, Malibu and Santa Monica, ending at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. This day was at leisure, for an opportunity for guests to explore LA as they please. One of our guests upgraded and stayed in the Marilyn Monroe suite, where she stayed for several years. To brag even more, while we were there the hotel was taken over by E! getting ready for the Oscars. Sadly, no A-listers were spotted.
Day six
Some may say we saved the best for last, as we took the Warner Bros Studio Tour. Experiencing some of our all-time favourite films from the actual sets! Afterwards, we said goodbye to California and headed to LAX airport.
Results:
One of our favourite parts of the whole trip was Santa Barbra, the whole place had an amazing atmosphere, with lots of great bars and restaurants. Also proving what a small world we live in, with the hotel owners being from our humble abode, Leeds.
We have received lots and lots of brilliant feedback from everyone who attended this ‘once in a lifetime’ trip! We can’t wait for all of the upcoming, exciting events we have taking place with the client including Las Vegas and Dubai, so keep your eyes peeled.
