As a leading name in the cryptocurrency space, the Cardano Foundation’s annual summit needed to serve as a bespoke platform to support this thriving community, whilst engaging attendees in the foundation’s ecosystem of products. To achieve this, we brought together expertise from every First Event department to create a truly engaging experience.
The Challenge:
Following an incredibly successful foundation summit in 2023, we were keen to build on the relationships and connections this client had already developed in Dubai. Additionally, in 2024, this multi-day event needed to:
- Bring together the brightest minds and the leading voices in blockchain
- Create a hub for learning, knowledge sharing and inspiration
- Welcome newcomers and foster vibrant reunions within the community
- Create a lasting legacy for the Summit through memorable experiences
- Attract a new audience, and grow the foundation’s reputation through strong media coverage
The Solution:

Our production team coordinated the event content of 182 speakers, ensuring they had everything they needed to deliver their inspiring sessions seamlessly and confidently.
Create a hub for learning, knowledge sharing and inspiration
In addition to live-streaming the event content and uploading on-demand content, we ensured that the sessions were highly engaging by incorporating cutting-edge AV technology. The pitch stage featured individual headsets for an immersive experience, while the main stage showcased a stunning 20-metre-wide curved screen.
Welcome newcomers and foster vibrant reunions within the community
Our team of developers crafted a bespoke native app, with custom functionalities that facilitated connections within the community, as well as a seamless attendee experience. Features included:
- Personalised agendas
- Swipe-to-match networking functions
- In-app messaging
Create a lasting legacy for the summit through memorable experiences
By creating an event strategy that spanned every stage of the event life-cycle, we were able to create an end-to-end attendee experience that felt elevated and seamless. This compounded the impact of the summit’s wow moments, such as the Gala Awards Dinner. This was held in the breathtaking Fort Island in Madinat Jumeirah, with views of the iconic Burj Al Arab.
Attract a new audience, and grow the foundation’s reputation through strong media coverage
To support ticket sales, we had a comprehensive, multi-platform PPC campaign. We used tailored discount codes to easily see where ticket sales had been generated from, and utilised this information to tailor our PPC approach as it progressed, focusing on platforms that were performing well. We also oversaw the photography and videography throughout the event. We ensured that the client received edited image drops every 30 minutes, making it easier for the client to share in the moment content across their socials.
The Results:
The experience secured incredible levels of interaction and engagement, including:
- 1,070 total attendees
- 15,988 virtual views
- 11,983 interactions on social media
- 745 app downloads
- 210 in-app chat messages
- 36k views on the event app
This year’s summit generated an increase of total revenue of 15%, and increased sponsor revenue by 20% from 2023 to 2024.
