Transforming an Exhibition Stand Into a Global Platform
Delivering a global blockchain brand experience through an exhibition stand
This exhibition stand design and build for Midnight at Consensus Hong Kong transformed a traditional booth into a high-impact brand experience. Positioned at the main entrance and spanning 6×12 metres, the stand became the epicentre for Midnight’s Mainnet announcement, live demos, podcasts and partner engagement.
The event goals
Consensus Hong Kong brought together 11,000 of the world’s leading developers, investors, founders and institutions. Midnight needed an exhibition stand design and build that could draw attention and deliver a premium brand experience. The goals were to:
-
Announce the Midnight Network Mainnet on a global stage
-
Showcase Midnight’s technology through immersive demos
-
Facilitate partner, investor, and media conversations
-
Capture live content to extend reach beyond the event
-
Position Midnight as a leader in privacy-first blockchain infrastructure
How did the exhibition stand design attract and engage attendees?
The stand was designed to pull people in, and keep them there. Positioned directly at the main entrance, the exhibition stand benefited from constant footfall and quickly became a natural meeting point for developers, ecosystem partners and media. Open architecture made the exhibition stand accessible from all angles, while clearly defined zones ensured every interaction had purpose.
Key features included:
- A private central meeting room for high-value conversations
- Integrated podcast studio with Silent Disco headphones so attendees could listen in
- External live video feeds to draw attention from the show floor
- Innovative, bold design aligned with Midnight’s enterprise positioning
The result was a space that felt less like an expo booth and more like a hub for the Midnight ecosystem. Over the course of the event, 4,660 visitors entered the stand, generating 3,200 direct conversations with attendees and achieving a 69% engagement conversion rate from passing traffic.
How did product demos turn the stand into a live brand experience?
At the centre of the stand was Midnight City Simulation, a live environment designed to demonstrate how Midnight’s privacy infrastructure works in real-world scenarios.
Unveiled on Day 2, the simulation gave attendees an exclusive first look ahead of its official release, turning the stand into a destination for those wanting early access to what’s next.
At the expo stand attendees could experience the technology in action. Partners and developers explored how selective disclosure and privacy-preserving data flows operate within the network, shifting conversations from theory to practical application.
The impact was immediate. The exhibition stand no longer felt like marketing, it felt like a working product environment.
This hands-on approach significantly increased engagement, with visitors spending an average of 12 minutes and 32 seconds inside the booth, nearly double the dwell time seen at previous events.
How did live content amplify the activation?
Content wasn’t just captured, it was broadcast live, extending the experience beyond the stand. A dedicated podcast and media studio hosted interviews with ecosystem partners, ambassadors and blockchain leaders, turning the booth into a live broadcast environment throughout the event.
Sessions were streamed live to X and YouTube, allowing audiences around the world to experience the activation in real time. Across the event:
- 11.59K livestream views were generated
- 53,929 minutes of watch time were recorded
- 8 KOL interviews were captured for ongoing ecosystem content
Meanwhile, owned social activity amplified the reach even further:
- 152K+ social impressions generated by Midnight’s event posts
- 9.97K social engagements across owned channels
- 13% growth in Discord members during the event period
How did we measure the success of the expo stand build?
The activation delivered measurable impact across physical engagement, community growth and industry visibility.
Lead generation & community growth:
- 589 newsletter sign-ups
- 70 qualified marketing leads
- 13.5% growth in Discord members
Industry visibility:
- 95,000+ social mentions referencing Consensus Hong Kong
- 1.47 billion potential reach across the event conversation
- 266,000+ social engagements recorded globally
- Midnight and IO products achieved 5.43% share of voice, outperforming previous major events
What started as an exhibition stand became something much bigger, positioning Midnight as one of the most visible infrastructure projects at Consensus Hong Kong.
