Event objectives:

Having worked in partnership with this client over the last 12 years, we’ve been able to make this annual conference and exhibition an unmissable event in the construction industry calendar. For this year’s iteration of the must-see event, our client was keen to create a platform to facilitate both exhibitors, partners and supplier relations, encouraging all parties to share best practice, gain insight into the industry, and add real value to all businesses in attendance. As such, we created an event concept that forged those relationships and cemented our client’s position at the heart of this thriving industry, with a particular focus on meaningful networking opportunities strengthening our client’s reputation as the hosts of a renowned, fun-filled event in the construction calendar, attracting the top people in the industry.

Event overview:

This 2 day event was kickstarted with an annual charity football match, with partners and suppliers raising much needed funds for their industry charity. Charitable giving was a continuous theme and value held throughout the event, and a total of £30,000 was raised for this incredibly worthy cause. Following the football match, partners were invited to an AGM followed by an exclusive lunch which also included platinum suppliers.

After lunch, all attendees were invited to join the supplier summit in the ACC Liverpool for the conference. During this summit, leading speakers and experts inspired attendees on the topic of ‘Strengthen our Sales”. The combination of external innovators and experts within the construction industry created the perfect combination of inspiring and valuable content for the audience.

Attendees were then transported to Pins Social Club for an evening of entertainment, fun, and a chance to build on the connections and relationships established earlier in the day. The social club contained plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind, and had been kitted out by our team to reflect an American party creative concept. With delicious American inspired catering, bowling alleys, karaoke, shuffleboard, pool, as well as a country band and cheerleaders to really help boost the fun of the evening, this fun-filled evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees, and was the perfect way to close the first day of the event.

The second day of activity started in the ECL, where 166 suppliers joined the exhibition, as a chance to create lucrative and long term partnerships within the community established by our client. With a celebrity appearance from Dominic Littlewood, walking around the stands and engaging with suppliers, the exhibition was a chance for attendees to find out more about the opportunities on offer within the construction industry, underpinned by our client. There was also a construction themed obstacle course in the centre of the exhibition, where attendees could race against each other in between expanding their network with suppliers and partners.

The event was closed with the renowned Gala Dinner event. Held in St George’s Hall in Liverpool, this Gala Dinner brought all the glitz, glamour and celebrity treatment to the attendees, rolling out a big red carpet, with step and repeat boards and an on-carpet reporter. As the 20th anniversary of this event, we designed a ‘This is Your Life So Far’ creative theme to centre the Gala dinner around, using the evening to celebrate the origins of this client, the challenges they’d faced, how they’d overcome them, and the exciting future ahead.

Attendees enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu in this incredible venue, whilst being entertained by a bespoke performance from a Shadow Show, songs from Revelation Avenue, and a serenading from a gospel choir, who performed in front of St George’s iconic organ. Following the dinner, guests were whisked away into the next room for an Ibiza nightclub themed afterparty, with a saxophonist and bongo player on hand to lead the way to the festivities. This was an event for this client, inspired by this client, and allowed attendees to reflect on their relationships and progress made over the last 20 years. Despite being a Gala Dinner for over 500 attendees, the inclusive and intimate atmosphere created an authentic community feel to the event.
