2022 wrapped!
What a year! 2022 has brought with it the Olympics, a royal funeral, a record-breaking heat wave, and more Prime Ministers than we can keep track of. It’s hard to imagine that all the things we’ve experienced this year have happened in just 12 months, and it’s been no different here at First Event. Whether through the growth of our First Event Fam, or our sweeping up of industry awards, we’ve achieved so much in 2022 and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve done. And we’re live: Back with a bang!
With the last few social distancing restrictions lifted by the government back in March of this year, our clients have been eager to keep bringing people together in a calendar of exciting events. There’s no denying: the pandemic changed everything about the way we live and work. That’s why we’ve come back to this post-pandemic world with a bang, so that we can reflect the changing goals and needs of our customers with high-quality events and experiences.
In the last 12 months, we’ve delivered over 209 events! That’s a mind-blowing average of over 4 events every week! And we’ve been getting back out into the world in order to make these once-in-a-lifetime events happen too. In 2022 we’ve visited 32 cities in 19 different countries across 4 continents. Even though the lack of social distancing measures means more in-person events than we’ve seen over the past 3 years, we’ve been expanding our virtual and hybrid portfolio too, streaming digital events to 120,000+ attendees in 2022 alone.
First Event Fam News
When we’re not delivering smash-hit events for our fabulous clients, it’s been a pretty crazy year for the First Event Fam too. We’ve welcomed 25 new joiners to our amazing team, and have promoted 13 superstars along the way! In August First Event reached the ripe old age of 21, and our team came together to celebrate more than two decades of success.
Now that we’re 21, we thought we needed a slicker, more mature branding to reflect this, so we reinvigorated the way we look and sound. As if we didn’t have enough to crack on with this year, we also pulled off a flawless brand refresh across our website and social media presence. Still not busy enough for you? Over the summer some of our First Event superstars trained for the Leeds 10k. In total, the team raised an incredible £1,000 for Andymanclub, a men’s suicide prevention charity.

As another killer year draws to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our team members, clients, and supporters who have helped us to make 2022 into the incredible success that it’s been.
