We work hard to ensure that your event is exactly as you want it to be – down to the very last detail. Your dedicated First Event Account Manager and team will work with you 24/7 to ensure the smooth-running of your event, and that it fulfils all requirements and objectives.

We will take care of everything, including site inspections, event communications, theming, travel and accommodation arrangements, return on investment and crisis management. We offer an online management facility that includes an event website that all guests can view and download up-to-date information from. Post event features include feedback forms and image galleries.

She has experience travelling and luckily, her time spent working in the industry had allowed her to travel to a variety of places!

Alex loves music and can often be found frequenting a local city gig or festival. She’s also a fan of rubbish TV – a guilty pleasure of hers!

Amey has spent 3 years working for First Event as an Account Executive, and it was her interest in travelling that drew her to working within the events industry.

As an experienced member of the team, she has witnessed and enjoyed the expansion of the business as it has happened.

In her spare time, Amey frequents the gym and is a fitness fanatic – whether a spin class, boxing session, or lifting weights! She was once crowned the British champion in karate, and if she could choose someone to play herself in a movie of her life, it would be Cameron Diaz.

Ange is a First Event veteran and after working here for almost 15 years, is one of the longest standing members of the team.

She loves the hard work that goes on in the office and feels a real sense of achievement at the events we have produced as a team.

Ange claims that her home life isn’t as glamourous as working in the events industry – but we disagree! Living in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales means that Angie spends a lot of times outdoors, taking walks with her family and her lively Patterdale terrier, Pip!

If Ange could choose anyone to play herself in the biopic of her life, it would be Cameron Diaz – as although she insists they look nothing alike, she always seems to have fun!

Ben is a creative thinker and loves looking at things with a different perspective. Being a digital marketer, Ben is obsessed with how technology can have such a positive impact on a business.

In Ben’s spare time, you will see him rock climbing outdoors on the Yorkshire grit, in the gym or on top of a mountain!

When choosing an actor to play Ben’s life, he chose Brad Pitt, because apparently, people often confuse the two, obviously.

Beginning a career as a Wedding Coordinator in the events industry, Catherine joined First Event with an existing passion for events.

She loves organisation, and loves that her job allows her to be so involved with the fast-paced environment of the office and the team.

Catherine has two children who take up a lot of her spare time and self admittedly have better social lives than herself! She has a passion for interior design and loves bagging unique finds and ideas for her home. In fact, she’s so obsessed with getting the ‘dream house’ that she’s been banned from browsing Rightmove!

If she could choose a celebrity to play herself in the film of her life, it would be Jennifer Aniston – as she can do no wrong!

In her spare time, she enjoys yoga to relax, as well as painting, swimming, and taking her dog, Milo, for nice long walks. If she could choose anyone to play her in the film of her life, Chantelle would choose Zooey Deschanel – as she’s a beautiful person inside and out!

Charlie was initially attracted to her Account Executive job at First Event because of the evident sense of community and diversity of the events produced by the company.

After joining the team a year ago, she continues to love the same things that brought her here in the first place.

Charlie is the designated First Event baking whizz, and the best cake she ever made was a Christmas ‘snow scene’ – complete with an edible lake, fishing penguins and an igloo. Previously to First Event, Charlie ran workshops to help make instruments for spinal surgery! The person she would choose to play herself would be Mila Kunis, because she’s petite and cool.

Charlotte started working at First Event as a Graphic Designer in 2016 after wanting to relocate, yet wanting to remain working in the design industry and being attracted by the friendly company culture.

In her spare time, she loves both baking and cooking – her favourite thing to bake is chocolate brownies, and favourite dish to cook is curry. She also loves dining out and going to the theatre, especially to see musicals! Her favourite musical is Billy Elliot and she’s seen it live 5 times!

If she could choose someone to play herself in a film of her life, it would be Zooey Deschanel.

Dawn Mitchell

With almost 20 years’ experience working with lots of different business sectors, Dawn has managed hundreds of events from detailed three centre incentive programmes in Vietnam to Sales conferences in Birmingham - bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to First Event.

In her spare time, Dawn enjoys looking after her beautiful granddaughter, taking her chocolate Labrador on walks, going to the cinema with her husband and visiting her favourite place – Whitby. If she could choose anyone to play her in the film of her life, it would be Julia Roberts... so she could kiss Richard Gere!

Emily has been working at First Event for the past 4 years, and was recognised in C&IT’s A-list as one of top 35 ‘ones to watch’ under the age of 35 back in 2014.

Before working for First Event, Emily ran coaching and mentoring events, eventually travelling for two years, which gave her the inspiration to set her sights further afield.

In her spare time, Emily loves to keep fit, regularly frequenting the gym, pole-dancing, and horse-riding. If she could choose someone to play herself in the movie of her life, she would choose Margot Robbie, because she’s quirky – like herself!

Fiona began working for First Event in 2016 as she thought it looked like an exciting company to work for and has a general interest in the events industry.

In her spare time, Fiona is a bit of a wordsmith and loves to read and write stories! When she’s not reading or writing, she also loves to belt out a tune and loves to sing.

If she could choose someone to play her in the biopic of her life, it would be Jennifer Lawrence, because she seems like a cool person!

Gemma began working for First Event in 2016, and has worked in the events industry for years.

Her interest in events first stemmed from an events management module on her course in college. Since then, Gemma graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in Events Management, and has been involved a wide range of events – from music, to pharmaceutical, to corporate.

In her spare time, Gemma is kept busy looking after her 2-year-old son. She also loves swimming, and is an avid rugby fan – supporting Ireland, Ulster and England. If she could choose someone to play herself in the film of her life it would be Kate Winslet, as she loves watching her in every film she’s in.

Hayley first started working for First Event as a Junior Designer at the beginning of 2017.

Her keenness to work in web design along with the appealing friendly atmosphere at First Event is what attracted her to the job role.

When she’s not at work, Hayley loves to read and is currently making her way through the Bronte sister classics. She’s also a big fan of knitting (she’s currently working on a hat) and gymnastics.

If she could choose anyone to play herself in a film of her life, she would choose Rebel Wilson, because she’s funny, loud and doesn’t take herself too seriously.

Heather started as an Account Executive at First Event straight from college, due to an interest in both travel and the events industry.

She loves a night out and can be spotted frequenting Leeds bars, Backroom and Normans, at the weekend – always with a cocktail to hand!

Holly has worked at First Event since 2016 after moving from a smaller events company and wanting to both experience the more ‘corporate’ side of events, and to travel more.

In her spare time, Holly is a fan of fitness, taking part in pole-dancing and aerial skills classes. She is a qualified masseuse, and if she could choose someone to play herself in a film of her life, it would be Beyoncé because she’s fierce!

Ian began working for First Event in early 2017 after recently moving to Yorkshire.

He was initially attracted to the job as he liked the company culture and wanted to be a part of a growing business where he could make a difference.

Most of Ian’s spare time is taken up and spent with his 1-year-old daughter. However, when he’s not spending time as a family man, he enjoys Tenpin Bowling and running.

If he could choose anyone to play himself in the movie of his life, it would be Ewan McGregor, because he always plays a laid-back character.

Izzy began working at First Event as a placement student whilst studying Events Management at the UK Centre of Events Management.

She has always travelled extensively with her family from a young age, which inspired her to pursue a career in the events industry that would allow her to travel.

In her spare time, Izzy is addicted to shopping and is a big fan of mojitos! She is also a regular gym-goer and occasionally goes horse-riding, which she has done from a young age.

If she could choose somebody to play herself in the movie of her life, it would be Shay Mitchell – because who wouldn’t want to look like her?

Jake joined First Event after having worked on events with our Operations Director, Dawn, for several years before eventually joining our team full-time at the beginning of 2017.

In his spare time, Jake loves to play football – and when he’s not playing, he’s watching Sheffield Wednesday play! He’s also an avid golfer, and is hoping to combine both his golfing and sales skills in his Sales Manager role. Jake has experience with travel, and at the age of 16, he and his family moved to Downtown Cairo for 18 months.

If he could choose someone to play himself in the film of his life, he would choose Ricky Gervais’ character of David Brent – as he is the sales manager he aspires to be!

After working here for 10 years, Jo is a First Event veteran. Having travelled when she was younger, Jo moved away from her initial role in finance to pursue a career in events.

In her spare time, Jo enjoys looking after her two young children. However, when she’s not spending time with the family, she loves the gym and particularly enjoys yoga and bodypump. This year, Jo is taking her fitness fascination to the next level, having signed up for Tough Mudder and to run a 10k!

If Jo could choose anyone to play her in the biopic of her life, she would choose Kylie - because Jo is only 4ft 11 ½ and she is her idol!

Prior to joining First Event, Joe spent 7 years working for a corporate event agency in London. He joined the team as he wanted to be part of a constantly growing business where he could utilise his experience and integrate it into the company’s journey.

When he’s not schmoozing clients and working hard, Joe loves to travel, attend concerts and music festivals, and frequent the cinema. He’s adamant that he has the voice of an angel after a few glasses of wine, and sees himself as the male version of Adele – who he’d like to play him in the film of his life!

Having worked in the events industry for 12 years, the first ever event Kate organised was a conference in Toronto, and she hasn’t looked back since!

In her spare time, she loves nothing more than obstacle-course racing, having recently taken part in a 20-mile run that included 200 obstacles! When taking a break from warrior-level races, Kate continues to stay fit through weightlifting at the gym every day. If she could choose someone to play herself in the movie of her life, it would be Kristin Davies, as she loves her character in Sex and the City!

Returning to Yorkshire after 12 years working for events in London, Kirsty joined the First Event team in 2016 and despite a long experience working in the industry, still loves and is excited by events.

Having sang in a gospel choir, Kirsty loves singing. She also took a dressmaking course, which led her to hand-making her own dress for her interview at First Event! If she could choose someone to play her in the film of her life, it would be Sandra Bullock as she always plays an interesting character.

Leah began working at First Event in 2016 after achieving a degree in events management.

Having always been interested in events, and a passion to travel, a job that combined the two was perfect.

She’s a big fan of Star Wars, horror films and is the self-proclaimed ‘office geek’. If she could choose someone to play her in the biopic of her life it would be Carrie Fisher – her childhood role model -, and she named her cat after David Bowie!

Lewis Johnston

After gaining a degree in Sport Management, Lewis worked in Sport Marketing and Communications, discovering his passion for events whilst working as a Projects Executive at the Rugby Football League, later becoming an Event Manager.

He joined First Event after wanting a change of environment and the company stood out as an ambitious, exciting agency with a great working environment.

In his spare time, Lewis is a fan of sport, especially rugby – and also loves hill walking. He also enjoys travelling and cooking, taking any opportunity he can to jet off somewhere new or spend time in the kitchen.

If he could choose anyone to play himself in a film of his life, it would be Chris Hemsworth – because he’s a ‘God amongst men.’

Lisa is a member of the flights management department at First Event and loves that her job allows her to explore the exciting world of events with such a fun, caring and knowledgeable company.

Over the years, Lisa has been lucky enough to travel to lots of beautiful locations including Bali, Hong Kong, Tanzania and the Maldives – further igniting her passion for travel, which still remains! However, she tends to keep it a little closer to home these days as her young son can sometimes make long-haul flights a little more difficult! She also loves films and music, and enjoys getting involved with volunteering and fundraising whenever she can!

If she could choose anyone to play her in the movie of her life, it would be Helena Bonham Carter, as she always plays varied and quirky roles… and looks amazing for 50!

If she could choose a celebrity to play herself in the movie of her life, it would be Jennifer Love-Hewitt, as she’s a great actress and seems really cool!

Lucy joined First Event 10 years ago after completing a communications degree, and due to her love of travel, flying, and airports.

She’s a company veteran, and started in the events team when there was only 4 members of staff!

Lucy has a beautiful baby girl, Poppy, who takes up most of her spare time at the moment! Otherwise, she loves cooking, eating out – and anything to do with food! She also loves spending time with friends, prosecco and long walks… usually followed by a good old roast dinner!

If she could choose anyone to play herself in a movie of her life, it would be Idina Menzel – as it would have to be a musical!

Rachael has been working at First Event as an Account Manager since 2015, initially being attracted to the job due to her love of travel and organisation.

She’s a lover of animals, and enjoys horse-riding in her spare time – she even has her own horse, Erin! Rachael also enjoys dog-walking with Rupert, the dog that she rescued from Greece after holidaying there! If she could choose someone to play herself, it would be Michelle Keegan, Rachael’s idol.

20 years in the industry – been there, done it and has got the bags under the eyes to prove it!

Richard’s true obsession is with customer service and organising events that move people to tears (in a good way!).

Richard is well known in the industry and has recently spoken at EIBTM and Conference Leeds, giving his views on the state of the industry and emerging destinations.

His spare time is spent with his two young children and trying to become the next Bradley Wiggins!

Rosie studied events management at university, knowing that she’d like to pursue a career that allowed her to travel and be creative.

She chose to join First Event after the company stood out through the variety of events we deliver, and the worldwide locations we work in!

Outside of work, Rosie loves to travel and visit news places, trying different cuisines… and wine! She also enjoys music and going to gigs. If she could choose someone to play her in the movie of her life, it would be Emilia Clarke (a.k.a Daenerys Targaryen), because she’s always laughing and doesn’t take herself too seriously!

Joining First Event from fellow Leeds agency, We Are Vista, Sarah joined the team after hearing great things about the work environment and being able to work on incentives like at the beginning of her career.

Sarah is a busy bee in her spare time, and first thing every Saturday morning she’s up doing ParkRun, which she began in December after her friend persuaded her (after one too many drinks) to take up running! She loves spending time at her allotment, where she grows all sorts of treats – enough to bring surplus into work!

If she could choose someone to play her in the film of her life, it would be Kate Winslet as she is a similar age and one of Sarah’s favourite British actresses… although it would take several drinks to get her to spill the beans to the world about her life!

Sharon is the Head of Creative at First Event and has worked for the company since June 2014.

She has worked as a designer in the Marketing and Print industry for over 20 years and is responsible for all brand identity, content creation and print collateral.

She is a keen a traveller and hopes to one day experience an event and see her designs at work! In her spare time, she loves spending time with her daughter, playing squash, reading and getting her tools out and doing a spot of DIY.

If she could choose anybody to play herself in the film of her life, it would be Angelina Jolie because her characters of Lara Croft and Mrs. Smith are kick-ass!

Steph worked for a digital design agency before joining First Event at the beginning of 2017, being attracted to the company due to its friendly atmosphere and an interest in travel writing.

Outside of work, Steph spends most of her time in the gym, lifting weights, or running – in training for her upcoming half marathon. She’s addicted to pizza and hopes to one day travel the entire length of Italy – trying the best pizza in its natural habitat!

If she had to choose someone to play her in a biopic of her life, she would choose Kristen Wiig – because she’s embarrassing and can laugh at herself.
